Dear Port Renfrew Elementary Families,

I was lucky enough to join in the beach trip today. What amazing learning. Our students were identifying native plants on a scavenger hunt and practicing the Ditidaht words they have been learning. Then it all ended with using physics to decide how far that wave was coming up the beach and decision making about if you wanted to get wet or not!

Don’t forget tomorrow is no school for Professional Development Day.

Next week is a trip to the Charters Creek Salmon Hatchery on Monday as everyone learns about the salmon life cycle and the importance of salmon to the Pacheedaht Nation.

Friday is Halloween and trick or treating in the community. We look forward to seeing all the costumes.
